This helpful section will identify contact information on each state's education office. It provides each office's address and phone number along with their website address. Content on each state's website varies. Some are very extensive, but others may not include as much.

We recommend that you check out each state's website where you currently reside and the state in which you plan to attend college.

Like federally-funded programs, most states use your FAFSA form in determining eligibility for state programs. This includes state-level grants, scholarships, and loans. The U.S. Department of Education will send your FAFSA information to the appropriate state agency to determine eligibility for state-funded programs.

Each state varies on FAFSA submission deadlines. Make sure you submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. If you miss your state's deadline for applications, you may not be able to receive state-aid for that academic year.
